🎯 Track Your Goal
What is a Goal Progress Tracker?
It turns a goal — save a set amount, lose a set weight, read a set number of books — into a clear percentage and a pace. Enter where you started, where you are now, your target, and the deadline, and it works out how far you've come, how much time is left, and what daily rate would close the gap.
It also projects forward: based on the average rate you've kept up so far, will you land on target by the deadline, or fall short? Use that early warning to adjust your pace before time runs out.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How does the goal progress tracker work?
Enter your starting value, where you are now, your target, and the start date and deadline. It works out what share of the total distance you've covered, how many days you've used and have left, and the daily pace required to reach the target on time.
What does 'on pace' mean?
It projects where you'll land at the deadline if you keep progressing at your current average rate — the amount you've gained per day so far, carried forward across the days remaining. If that projection meets or beats your target, you're on pace; if it falls short, you'll need to pick up the pace.
Why does required-per-day change as I update my progress?
Required-per-day is simply what's left divided by the days remaining, recalculated every time you check in. Falling behind early raises the daily amount needed later; getting ahead lowers it — so it always reflects the most efficient constant pace from today to the deadline.
What kinds of goals can I track with this?
Anything measured as a number moving from a starting point to a target over time — savings balances, weight-loss targets, books read, revenue goals, word counts, workout streak targets, or debt payoff. Just set the start and target values that match your goal's direction.
